Contact us
Email hello@usemast.app and we’ll get back to you, usually within two working days. Mast is built by one person, so you are emailing the developer directly.
If you are reporting a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened.
Cancel your subscription or free trial
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, not by us, so cancelling happens in your Apple Account:
- Open Manage Subscriptions, or go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
- Select Mast, then Cancel Subscription.
In the app you can get to the same place from the Profile tab → Subscription → Manage subscription, which opens Apple’s subscription settings. There is no separate cancel button inside Mast, because Apple handles all billing.
Cancelling during the 7-day free trial means you are not charged, and you keep access until the trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription - it keeps renewing until you cancel it with Apple.
Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and we cannot issue them directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account you purchased with. Your statutory rights are unaffected - see our Terms of Service.
You subscribed, but Mast says you haven't
This usually means the purchase hasn’t been linked to the account you are signed in to. To fix it:
- Make sure your iPhone is signed in to the same Apple Account you bought the subscription with.
- Open the Profile tab and find the Subscription section.
- Tap Restore, at the bottom of the subscribe panel.
If it still doesn’t recognise your subscription, email us at hello@usemast.app with the date of purchase and we’ll sort it out.
Your apps aren't locking
Mast locks apps using Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) frameworks, so it cannot block anything without Screen Time access. If locks are not being applied, or you see the “Screen Time access is off” banner on the home screen, check the permission:
- Open the Profile tab and find the Permissions section.
- Look at the Screen Time row. If it says Connected, the permission is fine.
- If it says Not set up, tap the row and tap Allow when Apple’s prompt appears. Dismissing that prompt by accident is the most common cause, and tapping the row again brings it straight back.
- If it says Off, tap the row to open iOS Settings and turn Screen Time access back on for Mast.
Mast also needs an active subscription for locking to run. If your subscription has ended, the Profile tab will show a renew option.
Delete your account
You can delete your account and data at any time from the Profile tab: scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, then type your email address to confirm. Your account, commitments, and photos are permanently deleted and this cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel that separately with Apple first (see above), or it will keep renewing.
You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@usemast.app from the address on your account. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Terms and privacy
Read the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, which explains what Mast collects and our commitment that your Screen Time data never leaves your device.
